Tisettanta, leader company in design and furniture manufacturing, was established in Giussano in 1971.
The Italian Design, till that time an élitist culture phenomenon, was finally ready for the industrialization. Tisettanta’s inspired intuition led to the implementation of its facilities, though cutting edge already, for a mass production of high quality furniture.
In the first half of the eighties, Tisettanta consolidated as an industrial design oriented company, responding to the new social and cultural condition. New systems for the living and night area were launched in those years, like the wall system Metropolis and the modular wardrobe Center.
During the following years, new brands joined Tisettanta, in a strong synergic relationship. 1990 saw the birth of Halifax, a furniture complement and accessories line; 1999 was the year of the acquisition of Elam, a historical brand for the Italian Design, thanks to the cooperation with the designer Marco Zanuso on kitchen systems.
The access to the Contract market was a natural opportunity for a company growing on the technological research and the systems development. In 1986 Tisettanta Contract was started as a division inside the company, aiming to assist developers and professionals on turnkey projects for high quality apartments and hotels.
