“Li” refers precisely to one-tenth of the distance light travels in a vacuum in 1/299792458 of a second
“Mu” vaguely refers to the area of a square area with a circumference of about 240 steps

Between “Li” and “Mu” is the interactive thinking of architects. An architectural work is often produced in the trade-off between precision and ambiguity, measurable and immeasurable, micro and macro.

Limu Archi Lab was established in Shanghai in 2020. Our designers have studied and worked all over the world, and have many years of experience in international and domestic offices, completing various projects of different functions, scales, regions and so on. At the beginning of the establishment of the studio, Limu defined it as an architectural design research office, hoping that after absorbing the theories, ideas and design methods from all over the country, we could return to the Chinese mainland and use the language of architecture to discuss every design proposition we faced. To create an architectural landscape that belongs to contemporary China and an emotional space that bears the spiritual characteristics of people in the new era after the collapse of the century’s construction frenzy. Limu’s architectural design covers urban planning, urban complexes, public buildings, rural renovation, museums, residences, urban renewal and artworks, and has practical works in many countries around the world.
