The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai) is a nonpartisan, non-profit business organization established in 1915. It was the third American chamber established aboard following the founding of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 1912. AmCham Shanghai was relaunched in 1987 after a break of 38 years, and is the largest and fastest growing AmCham in the Asia Pacific Region.
AmCham Shanghai represents 4,000 members from over 1,800 companies and is growing by an average of 90 new members per month. Our corporate members include Fortune 500 companies and a growing constituency of small- and medium-sized enterprises. AmCham Shanghai also has 23 active industry committees covering a broad spectrum of sectors.
