Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company was established in 2005 by the Qatar Investment Authority, entrusted to support Qatar’s growing economy and to coordinate the country’s real estate development priorities, as well as to achieve its vision towards improving the quality of life and its commitment to local communities, partnerships and sustainability.

The company’s flagship project, Lusail City, was launched in December 2005 and was praised for its innovative approach to real estate.

As of Year 2023, Qatari Diar has a shared capital of $8.1 billion, with 50 projects held in 20 countries, and an investment value of $35 billion.​
